The big question is... Does Hollywood show real penises or show strapons?
More recently, Hollywood has decided to unleash the penis. In the past, a glimpse of penis was seen but now as ratings have allowed, the penis is back in play and avoids an NC-17 rating.
Are Actors Embracing the Challenge or Using a Strapon?
Here are some movie roles and actors and will talk about what they did. Most of this has been confirmed by news and articles about the role.
“The Overnight” is a movie starring Jason Schwartzman which is actually pretty hilarious. The premise of the movie is that a couple invites another couple over and a couple swap is about to happen. In it, Jason Schwartzman takes off all his clothes and shows off his massive penis. To make matters more glaring, the partner of the other couple shows his penis and it is much smaller. Well, Jason Schwartzman although an amazingly talented actor, does not show his real penis on film. VERDICT: STRAPON
In "Game of Thrones", Kristian Nairn plays a large body guard of sorts to the other characters, named Hodor. "Game of Thrones" is one of the most epic series of all times and is known for its raunchiness. There are actually limited scenes of male genitalia and the most glaring example is when Hodor walks to the pond in season 1. In it, he is shown with a large penis. However, as much as much as we like Hodor, this is perhaps the least expensive effect on the show. VERDICT: Strapon.
In "Vacation" (a sequel to the classic comedy, National Lampoon's Vacation), Chris Hemsworth plays an overly exuberant host for the family wearing short shorts. While the actor who plays Thor, the god of thunder, he is shown in the movie with a large penis visible through his shorts. At the end of the movie, his penis is seen sticking out from under his shorts and the audience can see what was going on. The penis matches the stereotype of Thor, however, but this character is clearly unworthy. VERDICT: Strapon.
In "Boogie Nights", Mark Wahlberg, famous for so many great roles plays a porn star known for a large penis. The movie shows the not so glamorous side of porn and gives insight to how this industry works. At the end of the movie, the actor is seen with his penis in full view. And it is also clearly a special effect. VERDICT: Strapon.
MEETING EXPECTATIONS
So, the problem with all of these examples is that not all viewers of the movie will realize that the actors are wearing strapons. For some, they will expect that anything smaller is small and that normal is the larger phallus seen (which is made of silicone). Changing expectations can also make other men feel less confident that they don’t compare to these other penises even though these penises are NOT real.
So how does a male patient deal with Hollywood’s use of the strapon (and not overtly mentioning it)? You could explain it to your partner and say that penis is not real however your partner may or may not want to hear that. For some men, real volumetric gains can lead to their satisfaction and confidence with the use of fillers.
